Winter Week

This week has been very cold. All of our fun outdoor activities had to be on hold this week. So instead we blew up the kiddie pool that we had for David's last birthday and the kids played in the ball pit. That certainty got some use. I had meant to use it earlier in the winter but forgot. So I'm glad we got to utilize it. I hope to put it outside this summer sometime as well. Unfortunately the inflatable slide portion isn't holding air anymore, but we haven't tried the spraying Dinosaur part yet.

We also have been learning about where we live. The kids did a fun activity where we investigated our house number (by finding it outside on the house), looked for our street name, and then made a craft with the different parts of where we live. Alex got into it, David really just did the first part. But that was a good educational project we did.

I am looking forward to band tonight. I will be conducting the first 45 minutes of rehearsal. I'm a bit nervous to work with a band again. The music I chose is not the easiest to conduct.... so hopefully I will be able to get through it well tonight.

The choir at church also has several different things we are working on for Easter and Holy Week. I've been pretty busy with music things lately. That has been fun for me.

We will be heading off here soon to take Alex to gymnastics. She has two classes left this session and the we will take a break until the Fall. She enjoys trying all the different tricks at home.
