Teaching the littles

Winter is in full swing here and I'm starting to feel cooped up as usual. So lately I've been thinking of how best to do Alex's little "lessons ". I used to do this during David's nap, but he is no longer napping. I tried to do this when he is in "Quiet Time", but he doesn't really do his own thing if Alex is not doing it as well. I was thinking he was too little to do anything formal or start the preschool curriculum I used with Alex. However, when I try to "lesson" time together, they both do pretty well. So the current solution is to have our focused educational time together. They both do different (but similar) activities and they are happy.

I've recently seen some multi-age curriculums that might be something to consider.

We haven't decided the plan for Alex next year yet. We have narrowed it down to three options. Full homeschool, Hybrid with two full days at school at a local private Christian school, or Hybrid with two partial days at the same school. They should be coming out with their schedule soon for us to make our decision.

Alex really wants to go back to gymnastics, and we are thinking of doing that as well. David will be old enough to join in after his birthday, so we may have that for him as well. Alex tries to do hand stands all the time and has even held one for about 2 seconds. David is now doing forward rolls.. so he will fit right in.
