Good Morning Lake J

We are currently transitioning David from 2 naps to 1 and so I’ve been trying to keep busy in the mornings (when he is usually sleepy for a nap).

Today I decided to take us for a stroller walk around the Lake. It is a gorgeous time of year to walk there. So many summer flowers are blooming. There were a lot of people out walking this morning. I saw someone post something once about how the whole town of Waynesville is out walking the lake in the mornings. Definitely an exaggeration, but there were a lot of walkers. Who could blame them, it’s a beautiful walk!

The trip took a negative turn when I realized that David’s beloved Fawny was missing. He must have dropped it at some point. I decided to take us back to look for it. We backtracked for about a half mile, then decided to give up. I’m going to go by the Lake’s ”Lost and Found” later. Hopefully someone was being nice and picked it up for us.

By the time we left, I was exhausted. The 2 mile hike was a bit longer this time. Alex also decided she needed to ride the stroller most of the time because she was worried about stepping in Goose Poop… this happened when her cousins were visiting.

At least I got a good walk in already today!
