Friday

We like to get out and do something together as a family on Fridays. Our thought for today was head to this this miniature train place, but it turns out they are only open on Wednesday and Saturday. So instead we went to REI to look for hiking boots. Mine have been bugging me with an issue on the heel and I wanted to replace them. I also have a friend who works at the store. She was able to help me and I got a new pair of boots. Afterwards we wandered around Hobby Lobby for fun.

When we were home I had to take out my keyboard to work on some choir stuff and Alex took out her little one. I thought it would be fun to show her the music I got from our friends. She was really interested in it. We did a little lesson on how to read rhythms and then what the two notes were on the song. She did so well! I was really amazed that she had picked it up. It looks like I'll be buying the book and start her with reading notes on the piano!
