Our week filled up like usual. We have been busy making sure the house is in order and organized. The kids got some new toys from someone at church cleaning out their garage, so we had to figure out where to put everything. We also decided to go ahead and get the kid's bed frames. Those will arrive in the next few days and then their rooms should be complete.
We also got a "slip-n-slide" in the toys. Alex has been making good use of it. David's not quite figured it out yet.
One of the libraries nearby hosted a gardening lesson/book activity. We went with a friend and the kids had fun. They also took some potted pumpkin seeds home. My garden is doing great this year. The tomatoes are getting ripe. We are using some beans and broccoli in tonight's dinner. Then my pumpkin plants are sprawling across a large sections of the garden. They are not happy with one box, they have spread into both nearby ones.
I also have been dealing with some bird thiefs in my blueberry bush. I might need to put up netting in the future.
Yesterday I also got my tree that I've been waiting for. Hopefully I can keep it alive! I like where it is in the front yard (on the side). I can see it sitting on the porch or from looking out the front window.

Today was the Folkmoot event downtown. They have music, dance performances, and vendors. We went down for a bit to check it out. This year they had some kids games set up and face painting. David was the only one feeling like getting something.

I think we are all set for the first day of school next week. Hopefully it is a fun day!
