“Dry” Falls

Today our adventure was to Dry Falls. This was up near Franklin. The last part of the drive over was a very windy road along a river gorge. It was pretty cool. I call it “Dry” Falls because it reminds me of the nickname “Tiny” for a big guy. The Falls itself was very large. A lot of water was flowing over that drop. You can walk down to the base of the falls and go behind the water here. I think I will put this down as my new favorite waterfall we have seen.

David had a rough beginning of the night without his Fawny and was pretty tired when we set off this morning. The drive was a little over an hour. We made it with minimal crying.
Alex was a bit scared at the falls, I think because of the size and how loud it was. David was mad about being held back in the baby carrier. But overall it was a pretty drive and cool sight.
We decided to take a longer new route home through Highlands and Cashiers. Those were cool little towns. I want to go back to check out Highlands when we have less crying in the car.
It seemed lucky, but David fell asleep pretty quickly in the car. Then 30 minutes into his nap we were stopped for road construction. That was the end of his nap. Alex slept and we played through various music selections from my phone to keep David happy for the rest of the drive.
