Downtown Sylva

Today’s Friday adventure was to check out the town of Sylva. It is only about 20 minutes down the road but we haven’t had much of a reason to check it out. So, today we parked downtown and walked around a bit. We poked in a couple stores and got a treat from a bakery. There wasn’t much there, but I’m glad we checked it out.

We also brought our picnic lunch and ate at a nearby park.

I am hoping to have a little time to work on my current wood project this weekend. I am at the sanding portion. It‘s pretty easy work, just time consuming… not as fun as the design part. I would love to keep my work out in the shed while it was in pieces, but the humidity just warps things too quickly. It is good motivation to get a finished project (getting it off our counters). I’ll post some pictures when I have something interesting to look at.
