This last week we had a treat. My cousin Rachael came to visit from CA. It was really nice to show her around this beautiful area. She had never been here before and had a few things she wanted to see. We had a good plan and the weather (mostly) cooperated.
Sunday was church and a tour of the downtown. Monday we did a short hike with the kids off the Blue Ridge parkway followed by Alex’s gymnastics class. The couple times we went up on the parkway we were met with fog. The views were not as spectacular as they could have been. But eventually on Monday afternoon the clouds cleared up a bit.

Tuesday was a drive over to Tennessee to see the Titanic museum. We also met up with our cousin and her husband for the tour and lunch. The museum was cool, but it was difficult to really get to read things or listen to the audio tour because David was walking around. (He wouldn’t stay happy in the stroller without snacks and they didn’t allow food inside).
He really only had one meltdown inside because he couldn’t go back down the stairs. Luckily there was a Musician playing in the next area to distract him. The museum was pretty crowded, except our area when David was throwing a fit 😂.

Her last full day included a trip to Cherokee to get her National Parks book stamped. We explored the old settlement village and Mingus Mill.

We also took her to the lake, park, BBQ’d and watched the kids play with the water toys when she was here. It was a pretty full few days!
