Birthday weekend adventure

Our goal this summer has been to do a Friday family adventure. This last week we decided to go to a place that has been on my list for a while… Flying Cloud Farm.

We drove near Asheville to a farm that had a produce stand as well as a U-pick flower garden. They provided cups, water, and scissors. We paid for two cups and found the flowers. There was way more of a selection than it looked like from the parking area.

I was having a blast looking at the pretty summer blooms and creating a nice bouquet. David was in the baby carrier on my back. He loved pointing out all the bees. Alex seemed to be having fun until she noticed all the bees around. At that point, she needed to be held.

The trip got cut short because Alex had to use the restroom… and there were none available.

Overall it was a nice getaway to visit a new place in WNC. Plus we got to get Chipotle for lunch. It is one of the things I miss from living in the city.
